DISPATCH
These are the voices that answer our service line and schedule service. This job is done with an iPad we provide, in the comfort of your home.

GOING MY WAY
GMW drive our members to stores, medical appointments, hair and nail salons, and run errands. Some remuneration for miles driven given on request.

HELPING HANDS
Are you handy around the house? The HH team helps members with easy household fixes; changing alarm batteries and burned-out light bulbs, adjusting sprinklers, unplugging sinks and toilets.

SUPPORT SERVICES
Support Services needs volunteers with clerical and computer skills, managerial and writing skills and aids for our board members when necessary.

VOLUNTEER ROLES

  • Drivers
  • Handymen for simple tasks
  • Pet care for emergencies
  • Dispatchers (answering phone and scheduling services using iPad)
  • Callers to people living alone (morning calls)
  • Team Leaders for the various teams
  • Trainers for the various teams
  • Member Coordinator (handles all interfaces with new and renewing members)
  • Volunteer Coordinator (interviews and visits all new volunteers and answers questions)
  • Orientation Facilitator (conducts 1½ hour Orientation session for all new volunteers)
  • Administrative Coordinators (collect and handle mail, applications, checks, etc.)
  • Bookkeeper (writes checks, reconciles deposits with new member records)
  • Document Manager (reviews and updates all documents for policies and team procedures)
  • Recording Secretary (takes and types up meeting minutes) 
  • Board members (Pres, VP, Sec., Treas., plus five more)
  • Support Service people (computer tasks such as creating schedules, troubleshooting Dispatch iPads or phones, etc.)
